One take away for me from this video is this: "Before you buy something, ask yourself - Am I being it because I want it, or am I buying it because I need it?" Buy only what you need, not what you want.

Little by little we are discovering the authentic wisdom of the Earth, the connection with the Universe and every time we are having wisers from the different peoples of Earth coming out with the ancient richness to proclaim the real wisdom. Very good.

Hello TEDx, actually it is the reverse, life is hard and all we do is trying to make it more easy.......unfortunatly all the actions of all the lifeforms are done to make the experience of life less hard. Better never to be born......

A few people always have invested interests in making life harder for others. Take wars for example. Life is the hardest during wars. Yet a few benefit billions from them. Those few know that the way to making life harder for multitudes is by stupefying them as much as possible. The harder you have it, the more miserable you are. The more miserable you are the less creative you will be and the more you will rely on fear. The more you fear the more you'll need to believe in the power of a deity such as the dollar or euro. This would explain today's 'normal' uncivilized state of affairs he is speaking about

People in the village have a lot of time. It doesn't mean they hv the mentality to think what they want. They don't hv a choice. Professionals help our lives in a good way too, not just taken away the nature. People can't hv a house in 30yrs cos they don't take action, simple.

Life is easy when one is healthy and can function properly to look after oneself. But there are many disable, elderly people and many more in Thailand who have to suffer a great deal deu to the lack of proper welfares and facilities. This is because there is no fair share of wealth.

i have always been 'all about' houses .. designing and drawing them, and imagining how to take a simple shed and make it a beautiful workable house. but i have never been able to do any of those dreams because ... i cannot afford land. my parents 'own' land, but i know it will go away when they do, because making enough money to keep it is out of my league. i realized this and had a big cry, in my 20's ..that i'll never have a home in my community. i have always been a renter ( of tiny spaces ) , and have had nice people to rent from, but i have no freedom to build or make things the way they could be, or to feel truly rooted. ( besides i am not thrilled about taking part in the real eastate system ) ... its this way for loads of people .. ones who were born in a place they cannot afford because of realestate speculation in any place considered commercially to be 'paradise'.

you need to work to grow the food and feed and maintain your farm animals, you are working, but you choose how to do it and probably less stress if you like that kind of life, sun is hot sometimes, mosquitoes bite, maybe a hurricane destroy your crops, maybe you dont socialize that much, if you get sick can be bad, maybe you dont have luxuries or even a car, or gas for the car, you can't travel or buy what you want is just what you need as he said

Simple & Sweet brought back in style - to be cool again, thanks to this wonderful man. He is living proof that goodness is so empowering that you can get past the barriers of language, culture, and all other divisions, to touch hearts, impress minds, and wow the world with your wisdom. LOVED IT!! Simple Pleasures are Life's Treasures, for certain. Thanks for posting and sharing.

Yes life is easy but we make it complicated, if we have 1 bhk flat, we need 2 bhk flat, if we have 2 bhk, we need a bungalow, wants r unlimited, earning these things, we waste so much precious time, we could have spent in family and friends, we should ask ourselves do we really need these things, simple living is so wonderful.

So true...made my life easy just by listening to him...we don’t need fancy car and house in new York to be happy......enough to eat and live should be sufficient......village life is the best....
Steve Sant (1 месяц назад)
This concept sounds all warm and fuzzy , however his situation is only unique to him , how would a person growing up in Newyork or Sydney build a humble mud brick home and where and how did he acquire his land , sure we can simplify our lives which I personally do but this is a very narrow point of view on the verge of delusional.

Is that a goodness model for everyone can make the best of life, But Who's brave to decide quit of University?
Bhaarathiya Vaasthavam (2 месяца назад)
Its the System which makes our life hard. because The Modern System on the name of Development put the Human society into a rush where every one is competing with other for Life. But actually Nature has provided life for everyone with out any competition. But when we have been tricked into this competition for life named as Development. on 1 % people succeed to grab more wealth from society and still be unhappy, and the other 15 % unhappy since they did not succeed, 85% people obviously will be unhappy because of the poverty caused by the competition.
