Not helpful for people dealing with pain, or with issues that Google and books aren't so helpful with

This lady just said she doesn't love her husband or kids... What a turn on. No sarcasm...

This woman is so shrill, and just plain awful that I cannot listen any further than the first few minutes.

It means that when an idea comes to your mind you have to do with the idea act anything within 5 minutes or else the idea will be stopped by the emergency brake in your head.

We are living in artificial and materialistic societies that are only existing on the surface and don't have the courage to go deep and face themselves...

How can I attend one of these Ted Talks? I don’t live too far from San Francisco
Yudo NeidaNo (2 дня назад)
my problem is the comfort of staying in the comfort zone is greater than the inconvenience of making a change. "i'm fine" means "it might not be what I want, but it's good enough. i'll take it".

Nike had it right...just do it. Do it right now. Don’t wait...for anything. Taking a shower was never easier, or so energizing.

Wooow so inspirational!!!.Thanks so much! I try to force myself everyday to do what i needed to do cuz no one will do it for me but me.

Simple way is accept what you have and try for getting better... patience, hope for better tmw and confidence for that's to get it. If got failures then again keep hope to get best one day. Easy simple and peaceful life can get.
Beth Sp (3 дня назад)
I agree with her 100%. People are lazy by nature, no one wants to do anything for anything. Luckily I was born with the motivation gene. It doesn't take much to get me to do the things that I need to do to get the the place I want to be in life.

Cool but..... naa. rather learn telekinesis. Ill prove it "can happen in my head" lol jk This women sounds like a staunch Conservative. And sometimes people fail... over and over or have mental disabilities that hamper normal brain function needed for these "basic" actions. Very One sided.

While I applaud the enthusiasm and feel this process is necessary for many, I've a feeling this will ruin many too. You'll have people now acting on impulse rather than reason because they need to 'get over their fear'. You need a balance of both. Because acting solely on 'the need to do it' can yield results less desirable than no action.

This is amazing. Gotta be honest, I've always felt dissatisfied with the majority of the things in my life, eve though I'm still very young. Learning the real meaning behind the word "fine" and seeing how it takes the same amount of "force" to get out of bed as it does to tackle a huge task really puts everything into perspective. This is by far my favorite TEDxTalk I have ever seen. Thank you for the motivation, Mel Robbins.

Jenel ll-// (12 дней назад)
I definitely tell the truth on how I am feeling. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I HAVE DEFINITELY CONVINCED MYSELF THAT I'M FINE NOT HAVING WHAT I WANT. What about wanting something for the right reasons? Where does this come into play? Does it even matter? For example...losing weight for your husband even if you feel fine the way you are. . . even if you're overweight?
Renee Survives (12 дней назад)
Holy smokes. this just changed my life. Thanks woman. You rock.

Also, when people say I’m fine they want others mind their own business. They don’t want others’ opinion unless asked for.

Fantastic, motivational, and well-delivered talk! I was very impressed, and I can be a little picky, as evidenced by my next comment that I, as a psychologist, felt compelled to touch on. When Robbins alludes to the infamous Psych 101 courses and references one of the field's greatest theorists at the time, Abraham Maslow (and his Hierarchy of Needs). Robbins referred to him as "Andrew," which is close, but no cigar; however, for someone outside of the field, it's quite impressive. With the overabundance of Tedx Talks inundating nearly every form of social media, of the millions of 'talks' that have been given, more than half of them lack a quality (I fall in this category, too) that leaves me feeling slight disappointment in my poor selection choice, as well as the time I gave up that could have been better spent elsewhere. I feel cheated at times. Perhaps I have not learned which of the multitude of Ted Talk arenas that now exist are of superior quality, because after watching this, and others in the past, I KNOW THEY EXIST! WHERE ARE THEY?! I'm tired of quantity, I want quality! While everyone deserves their chance to shine, I want to be intellectually stimulated and challenged by people who have the awareness, the courage, and the insight to go deep and be real. I can't be the only person who feels this way, can I? I don't want to respond to a colleague's questions about how so many Ted Talks are 'fine." On that note, I'll reiterate once again that Mel Robbins' talk surpassed 'fine." Clearly, she inspired me to the point where I felt compelled to speak my mind. :) Hope to see more like her!

Got nothing!! Absolutely nothing from this!! In fact one of the least motivational speeches I ever watched and I can now never get back that over 21 minutes of my life back.
