This Yale graduate, with a degree in English, an acting career, and now a writing career, still incorrectly spells the word "alter"-as in "change" as "ALTAR". Frightening, and a terrible reflection on the standard of American (Ivy League at that ) education .

I graduated from college back in March of this year as a Medical Assistant. I been applying for many jobs and going to interviews. I still haven't gotten hired. Majority of jobs what you to have a year or more experience the only office experience i got was at my extern site which was only less than three months. I'm a single working mom who went back to college to get a degree and start in a new career field. I have been feeling emotionally drained because I can't get a job in the career field I went to school for.

I've embraced unemployment after a layoff for 6 months. Didn't love the industry anyway. Followed my passion & that career choice fell through too after 2 tries. What now? I didn't beat the odds. Very tired.

This video is more helpful than I expected! The tips are totally relatable, although I 'm kinda ticked off that she reached her dream of acting but gave it up while it's sth I want but can't really achieve b/c I have no access to acting classes.

Great Video! Sorry for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you tried - Chiveard Discovering Potential Framework (search on google)? It is a good exclusive product for finding your true calling and achieving success without the normal expense. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my mate at very last got cool results with it.

I worked in a office for 8 years, and always dreamed about being a preschool teacher since I was a little girl. I believed it was my “dream job”, I completed child development degree, but was always afraid of change. Finally, I went for it and became a teacher, I was so excited until i quickly find out I absolutely hated it. I loved the kids, I just did not want to be a teacher it wasn’t for me for various reasons. I tried 3 different schools because I thought maybe I just had to find the right fit for me. Long story short...I’m back to square one. I learned now that if I would have tried it sooner I would have known that it wasn’t for me and continued to try different things. It’s been a journey, but all that I have gone through has made me the person I am today, and I have learned so much. Now I want to go use the skills I have learned to my next project. I’m just going to go for it and stop thinking about it. Loved this video and happy to know I’m not the only one that can feel lost at times.

There are 60,000 homeless people living in Los Angeles and sleeping right on the sidewalks near my house. There is no positive change for those people. There are TWICE the number of homeless today than there was just five years ago. There is no positive change for those people. Nobody cares.

I'm thinking of the same thing. but did you leave it already knowing what you wanna do next? I've been thinking of quitting my job since its already killing me. Toxic people, too heavy workload, small pay.. exploitation basically.. and I don't learn anything. to be honest that is my situation too. I have gotten a qualification not a degree but completed a critical short course equivalent to a diploma and yet I still see the less educated people earning much more than me. So I decided to get involved I then joined a public group and then hopefully would like to work as a foreign national either for the EU or the US State - that is my goal I am working towards

Creativity and innovation will come when you do what you really love even if it's less paid. You will be so happy and fulfilled that you are adding a value to this world. I am in my turn from working as chemist for food and pharmaceutics lobbies to work in eco friend l'y organisation. I volunteer for teaching kids. I am in the reflexion

I'm a registered nurse in my home country. I tried working in a hospital once after I passed the exam and there I realized that nursing is "maybe" not my calling. So I applied in the bureau of fire and protection because it's just so promising and gives me motivation to straighten my path and finally have some sense of belongingness, sad to say I passed all the exams and the medicals which is very important, but out of 101 of us applicants, 94 was the quota of the bureau, and I was one of the 7 "lucky" applicants who were not chosen to officially be a firefighter. And I felt so lost in life. Then I also applied in the department of agrarian reform but was not chosen too. So..i;m still lost and i really don't know where to be in life and there's just zero motivation. Just wanted to share my life hahaha

She talks about not being fulfilled yet she was in a top Broadway musical. It's like she's saying "I'm so great that I was in this high stress, highly elite group, but even that wasn't enough for me, cause I'm just so brilliant and perfect, lol, you know? I also write three books a month, but that's like nothing, yeah?"
Tori Mengel (1 год назад)
Fel, I Graduated from Berklee college of music in 2001 and then got cancer followed by a plethora of other illnesses. I was never able to go back into the business as I once had before. I now sing in the worship team at my church and that is my new change!! You though, through your online courses have helped me find my voice again and at least make me feel like I haven't lost completely so thank you and God Bless you for that!!!
Randummm (1 год назад)
Yeah, it's great to have a degree from Yale, contacts to land in a Broadway musical, publisher friends from Yale who published your books...and, in the end, invitations to get applause on a stage again, this time as a highly educated "change guru." My guess is that this woman has two wealthy parents, probably doctors or college professors, one or both of whom went to Yale or Princeton. These talks are nicely done and well-intended but there is a lack of perspective when you speak to an audience as if you are just like they are. It can make less-privileged people feel angry.
